Minerva Printer

deployable aluminium 3D printer

The Minerva Printer is a deployable aluminium 3D printer designed for seamless integration into industrial, research, and academic environments. Compact yet robust, it brings aluminium additive manufacturing directly to the desktop—no infrastructure upgrades needed.

Deployable

Fits through a normal doorway, has a regular EU/US plug, uses a single-step process, and runs on industry-standard aluminium alloys. In short a very deployable aluminium 3D printer.

We aim for trusted aluminum alloys, with extension possibilities to copper, magnesium and polymers.

Cost effective

Achieving a 75-90% cost reduction compared to other AM solutions through process-wide cost-effectiveness.

Most frequent questions and answers

The printer fits through standard doors and lifts, and it requires only a single-phase 110 V or 230 V power connection—it doesn’t need ATEX certification, special gas infrastructure, or clean-room environments. Basically it is a very deployable aluminium 3D printer that can be installed from basement to penthouse, from submarine to space and from lab to production floor.

Yes. Minerva features an operator-friendly touch panel, tactile buttons, emergency stop functions, warning indicators, and integrated material storage, making it suitable for all lab and industrial environments.

The Minerva printer is a deployable aluminium 3D printer designed with mobility in mind: with its limited weight of 1,1ton any pallet jack can move Minerva. There are provisions for castor wheels allowing one person to move the machine. All allow for safe relocation between labs, workshops, and production floors.

Absolutely. Minerva is an open-architecture platform that allows full access to process settings, data capture, nozzle configuration, and material selection—ideal for R&D, custom applications and highly tailored production parts.

It supports common aluminium grades like 4008, 4043, 5356—used with standard 1.2 mm wire feedstock. Extension to high strength aluminum alloys like 2024, 6061, 6082, 7075 and others is possible.

Yes. The Minerva Printer can produce overhangs up to 70° and bridge gaps over 20 mm without support structures, significantly reducing post-processing efforts.
